1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Document King Scanner, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. Our privacy practices are outlined in our Privacy Policy, which details our strict compliance with data protection laws and Google's API service policies.

2. Description of Service & Google Drive Integration

Document King Scanner is a secure document scanning application that digitizes physical documents and securely uploads them directly to your personal Google Drive. We do not operate our own cloud storage for your documents.

To provide this service, we require authorized access to your Google Account. By using Document King Scanner, you explicitly agree to give us access to the following Google OAuth permissions:

• Email Address Visibility: To identify your account.
• Basic Profile Access: To access basic profile info like your name.
• OpenID Connect: To associate your session securely.
• App-Specific Drive Access: To strictly see, edit, create, and delete ONLY the specific Google Drive files created by Document King Scanner.
• AI Quota Management: To use generative AI models with your personal quota for processing.
• Sensitive Permission (AI Semantic Retrieval): To securely process the document images you upload strictly for the purpose of automated edge detection and text extraction (OCR).

We firmly guarantee that our app has absolutely no ability to read, edit, or interact with any of your other Google Drive files beyond what Document King Scanner creates.

3. Data Security and Zero Retention Policy

• No Document Storage: We do not store, host, or cache your scanned documents, PDF files, or image data on our proprietary servers. Every scanned document is transmitted directly from your device to your secure Google Drive via an encrypted HTTPS connection.
• No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information, authentication tokens, or documents with any third-party entities, advertising networks, or data brokers.
• AI Processing (Limited Use): We utilize the Google Generative Language API (Gemini) strictly in real-time to detect document edges and perform optical character recognition. The images sent to this API are processed instantaneously and immediately discarded. They are never retained, and they are completely excluded from being used to train any AI models.

4. User Authentication and Account Wiping

You authenticate using Google OAuth, which generates secure access tokens. These tokens are stored encrypted in our secure database solely to maintain your active session. You have the right to wipe this data at any time. By utilizing the "Log Out" feature in our application, Document King Scanner automatically revokes your OAuth access token using Google's revocation API and permanently deletes all trace of your user session from our database.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Liability Limitation

The service is provided on an "AS IS" basis. Due to the nature of third-party API dependencies (Google Drive and Google Gemini APIs), we cannot guarantee 100% uninterrupted uptime. However, under no circumstances shall Document King Scanner be held liable for any data loss, as your data remains securely within your local device memory until successfully persisted to your own Google Drive.

Absolute Waiver of Liability for User Conduct & Illegal Activities: Document King Scanner is solely a passthrough utility tool for document scanning and transfer. We do not monitor, store, or have any access to the contents of the documents you process. Therefore, YOU are solely and entirely legally responsible for the contents and the legality of the documents you scan and store.

If you engage in any illegal, fraudulent, terroristic, or unauthorized activities using our application, you assume 100% of the legal liability and consequences. Document King Scanner, its developers, and its administrators will not be held accountable or liable in any court of law or jurisdiction for your actions. Furthermore, because all data is stored directly in your personal Google Account and not on our servers, Document King Scanner bears zero responsibility if your actions result in a suspension, termination, or ban of your Google Account, or if your data is seized by authorities from your personal Drive.

6. Advertisements and Sponsorships

At present, Document King Scanner is provided to users free of any third-party advertisements or sponsored content. However, we reserve the right to display advertisements, promotions, or sponsorships in the future. Any future advertising partners will be strictly prohibited from accessing your Google Account data or your scanned documents, in full compliance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Changes to Terms and Conditions

* These Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time by Document King Scanner. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time without prior individual notice. Such changes may reflect updates to our service offerings, legal requirements, or Google API compliance mandates. By continuing to access or use our Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.
